About the project
“Training Module Inclusive First Aid” (TIFA) is an Erasmus+ project launched in November 2025. Its goal is to develop a training program that helps first aid instructors teach first aid to people with disabilities. TIFA continues the work of the earlier INFA project, which began exploring this topic by sharing and evaluating best practices on inclusive first aid training. INFA also identified a major gap: there was no formal training for instructors, meaning that inclusive first aid courses often depended on each trainer’s individual experience and confidence.
TIFA aims to close this gap by creating a dedicated train‑the‑trainer module for inclusive first aid. This module is mainly intended as a continuing education opportunity for existing first aid trainers, although the project partners also hope to see it included in basic instructor training in the future.
The module will go through several testing phases, including a pilot train‑the‑trainer course and later pilot first aid courses taught by the newly trained instructors.
The project consortium includes two disabled persons’ organizations, as well as several first aid and social service NGOs that are members of SAMARITAN INTERNATIONAL.
The project results will be published on this website once they are ready.
